Children’s Home
Education at NEIMA
At NEIMA Children’s Home, we believe education is the foundation of empowerment. Since our beginning in 2011, we have worked to ensure that every child under our care — and those in surrounding villages — has access to quality learning opportunities.
Our School
To meet the educational needs of our children, NEIMA established a school within the campus with support from well-wishers and contributions from local leaders.
-
8 classrooms and a small pre-primary hall
-
7 teachers, including two residential teachers who also provide personal care and guidance
-
Education provided from pre-primary up to Class VIII
-
Serving both NEIMA’s children and 43 children from neighboring villages, where limited schooling options exist
This school is not just an institution — it is a place of hope and opportunity for children who otherwise might have been left behind.
Beyond Academics
We focus on holistic learning that combines academics with personal growth. Students actively take part in:
-
National Day celebrations (Republic Day, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day)
-
Sports and cultural events that encourage teamwork, confidence, and creativity
-
Awareness programs on environment, hygiene, and values
Preparing for the Future
Many of our children, once they turn 18, must step out and start living independently. To prepare them:
-
We integrate livelihood-related skills from Class V onwards
-
Children receive vocational training in tailoring, embroidery, handicrafts, and other trades
-
Older students are nurtured with self-confidence and practical life skills so they can thrive in the real world
